I have been a professional photographer for the past 3 years. It all started with having my first daughter and wanting to capture the special moments in her life.

With the wide variety they have at such great prices, it was easy to be inspired to build new sets, and try new ideas. Having a wide selection of props is a big part of me having return customers.

I found that social networks, such as Facebook, are GREAT marketing tools, to help build business. After shoots, I post a couple “sneak peeks” for my customers to view, and all their friends are able to view them as well.
From theses referrals, I now have a very busy business.

Where did the photographer find the various wood flooring and floor molding? I've been looking for something similar to put in my studio.
ReplyDeleteSheena, the flooring with the little boy and the camera is from Backdrop Outlet Pro Cast SSRT01. The darker one you see in another pic is just a bamboo mat, I found at a local store. The molding is a real piece of molding I just lean against the backdrop and use a clamp to keep it in place. I hope this helps!

ReplyDeleteI love the photo with the little girl in the colored dress with the bright blue eyes. How did you get so much color in her eyes. Is this an effect you use or is it the lighting that you photograph with.

ReplyDelete@ Crane Studio, I used the mirrored plexiglass for that image. The trick to that shot is to be fast. The mirror is cold, so they wake up pretty quickly.
@ Mike, I did a smart sharpen on her eyes in that pic, and then pumped up the blue saturation a little. Glad you like it!
