Jay Kilgore
Jay Kilgore is a nationally published fashion and glamour photographer. Born the third of four artistic son's, Jay's Mother instilled in him at an early age an appreciation of light and shadow. When he was a young man, Jay picked up a camera for the first time and instantly fell in love with it. Jay's Mother is an accomplished print artist and was adamant that Jay and his brothers learn to "See light, shadow and curves in everything" they see and do. With that ideology, Jay was able to make the transition into photography almost effortlessly. Having five daughters, Jay was forced to come up with new and creative ways of getting amazing images using homemade modifiers and affordable strobes. Eight years ago, after getting six images published in major magazines, Jay was asked by a small group of friends to teach them how he lit those images. It was well received and before he knew it, Jay was teaching workshops and one on ones across the country. What makes Jay's workshops so popular? Jay's ability to break down complex lighting diagrams using tools that everyone can either make, or already have.
